Methamorphosis! And so it is!

Hello everyone!!

I seat here with so much to share, and thoughts just rush to my fingers scramble words pushing thru...

First I say thank God for medicine, since I have had to munch on pain killers and antibiotics for a week now, my body able to move around but with a pounding pain that had me dizzy, hungry and anxious to get back to my life, you see dental pain is the worst experience, specially when you need a root canal and you have an infection that needs to be cure before hand, hence a week of pain. I stay home for a week, missing the kids I teach and thankfully next week when I actually get my surgery I be off school for spring break, and well cross my finger off the pain wagon when is time to get back.

I call this post metamorphosis, because I feel like I have been force to stay inside my house, to look at this cocoon of my life, taking medication, little bits to eat so I dont get totally sick, but in the middle of all that I got to experience again what it is to be home alone for a little bit, to look at the state of my art studio and to realize how much art misses me, and how much I miss art. So, what did I do but paint, arrange my studio, clean it, I finally sat down and look around my beautiful space full of art supplies I have forgotten and like a butterfly I let it change me again, into that graceful artist I am within.

I was aware that I wasnt working with my art, but I am also happy with my life it just needs to be more complete in the others parts, to somehow get organized, the body needs to be taken care of to house my whole being, the teacher, the mother, the sister, the daughter, the friend, the poet, the creative woman and the artist. I need to take care of myself more so I dont have these interruptions in my daily existence forcing me to take a look at the rest of my life.  If you are like me afraid of a dentist chair, please make that appointment.....

Here are bits and pieces of my art journals...

May you always be blessed with health and with love ones to care for you!

A quote...

A wise man should consider that health is the greatest of human blessings, and learn how by his own thought to derive benefit from his illnesses.
